Benefits of olive oil

In the Name of Allah the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Benefits of olive oil:
Allah the Almighty says:

(…He allows them as lawful At-Taiyibat [(i.e. all good and lawful) as regards things, deeds, beliefs, persons, foods, etc.], and prohibits them as unlawful Al-Khaba’ith (i.e. all evil and unlawful as regards things, deeds, beliefs, persons, foods, etc.)…)

[Al-A'raf, 157]

I would like to start with the scientific topic. Contemporary medical research has neglected the protective, curing or nutritional benefits of food. However, in 1986 the first objective study about the medical effects of olive oil on reducing fats in blood was published.
This study was followed with another study, highlighting the fact that heart diseases and cardiac infraction were very rare among people of Crete Island, because they eat olive oil a lot.
The Prophet, peace be upon him, said in an authentic hadith:

Eat olive oil and anoint yourselves with it, for it is from a blessed tree

[At-Tirmithi, on the authority of Umar bin Al-Khattab]

Scientists say that olive oil is the easiest oil to digest.
It also has protective, curing and nutritional benefits. Doctors have agreed that olive oil has amazingly curing effects. One of these effects is its ability to lower LDL cholesterol levels and to raise HDL cholesterol levels.
Moreover, it is used to lowers high blood pressure and blood sugar.
Furthermore, it protects the body from arteriosclerosis and angiorhigosis. It also contains a substance that prevents excessive blood clotting and protects from fat buildup on artery walls.
According to accurate analysis, 100 grams of olive oil provides one gram of protein and eleven grams of fat. It also contains potassium, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, iron, copper and sulfur. In addition, it contains fibers, and it is rich in the most important vitamins for cell synthesis and activity, for reproduction, and for bones.
It is good for the brain, and it is considered a good nutrition for kids. Moreover, it has good effects on lithotripsy and breaking up bladder stones.
It also has a soothing effect on skin irritation, and some skin diseases. In other words, this oil is good and useful even for external use.

The Noble Prophet never speaks of (his own) desire:

The Prophet, peace be upon him, never speaks of (his own) desire, but it is an inspiration inspired to him. There are many Ahadeeth about olive oil, but I have chosen the Hadith:

Eat olive oil and anoint yourselves with it, for it is from a blessed tree

[At-Tirmithi, on the authority of Umar bin Al-Khattab]

Due to Allah’s Favor, our country is among the top countries in cultivating olive tree.

Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds
